1. What Information Do We Collect?
Personal Information You Disclose to Us: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information we collect may include: Names, Email addresses, Usernames, Passwords, Contact preferences, Contact or authentication data, Debit/credit card numbers (processed by Apple, not stored by us), Billing addresses.
Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive personal information.
Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases. All payment data is handled and stored by Apple. You may find their privacy notice at: https://developer.apple.com/app-store/app-privacy-details/
Social Media Login Data. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Facebook, Google, or Apple account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect certain profile information about you from the social media provider.
Voice Recording Data: When you use Charisma Lab's voice coaching features, we collect and process your voice recordings. Specifically: What we collect: Audio recordings of your voice during practice sessions. How we process it: Voice recordings are sent to our AI service providers for analysis to provide coaching feedback. Speech analytics: We analyze tone, pacing, volume, clarity, and other speaking characteristics. Storage: Voice recordings are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers after your session ends. Third-party processing: Your voice data is processed by Google Cloud AI, ElevenLabs, Anthropic, and OpenAI to provide our Services. No sale of data: We do not sell your voice recordings to third parties. No AI training: Your voice recordings are not used to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.
Application Data: If you use our application, we may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission: Geolocation Information, Microphone Access, Mobile Device Data, Push Notifications.
Information Automatically Collected: We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. The information we collect includes: Log and Usage Data, Device Data, Location Data.
2. How Do We Process Your Information?
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts.
- To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user. We process your information to provide you with the requested service, including voice coaching and feedback.
- To provide AI-powered coaching. We process your voice recordings through AI service providers to analyze your speech and provide personalized feedback.
- To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual's vital interest, such as to prevent harm.
3. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?
We may share information in the following situations:
- Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
- AI Service Providers. We share your voice recordings with our AI service providers (Google Cloud AI, ElevenLabs, Anthropic, and OpenAI) solely to provide our coaching Services.
4. Do We Offer Artificial Intelligence-Based Products?
As part of our Services, we offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies (collectively, "AI Products"). These tools are designed to enhance your experience and provide you with innovative solutions.
Use of AI Technologies: We provide the AI Products through third-party service providers ("AI Service Providers"), including Google Cloud AI, ElevenLabs, Anthropic, and OpenAI. Your input, output, and personal information will be shared with and processed by these AI Service Providers to enable your use of our AI Products.
Our AI Products are designed for: Natural language processing, Speech analysis and coaching feedback, Voice tone and pacing analysis.
How We Process Your Data Using AI: All personal information processed using our AI Products is handled in line with our Privacy Notice and our agreements with third parties.
5. App Tracking Transparency
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Charisma Lab does not participate in cross-app tracking for advertising purposes. We do not:
- Share your data with data brokers
- Share your data with advertising networks for targeted advertising across other apps
- Use device identifiers to track you across apps owned by other companies
6. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
Voice recordings are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored after your session ends.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information.
7. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
8. Do We Collect Information From Minors?
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services.
If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. 9. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information.
You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.
Account Information: If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can: Log in to your account settings and update your user account, or Contact us using the contact information provided.
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
Opting out of marketing communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us.
10. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals.
11. Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have the right to request access to and receive details about the personal information we maintain about you and how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, get a copy of, or delete your personal information.
Your Rights: Right to know whether or not we are processing your personal data, Right to access your personal data, Right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data, Right to request the deletion of your personal data, Right to obtain a copy of the personal data you previously shared with us, Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights, Right to opt out of the processing of your personal data if it is used for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling.

12. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal
If you subscribe to Charisma Lab Premium:
- Payment: Will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Renewal Charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- Management: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase
- Free Trial: Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
13. Do We Make Updates to This Notice?
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Notice. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
